First Edition of North West Brides Magazine

This was my first ever magazine editorial shoot for the new North West Bride Magazine back in 2012!

Mairead Kelly has been the organisational queen of this magazine, she sits behind me at work so we’ve discussed so many ideas and have many more to come! The first shoot took place at the amazing Blessingbourne Estate in Fivemiletown. Honestly, if you’re stuck for a wedding photo location then look no further. The estate has everything and the owners, Coleen and Nick are very welcoming. Even their little dog, Hamish, likes a photo, but the peacocks are a little shy!

Our beautiful model for the day was Jill Wallace who was so easy to work with and made my job very easy! Styling the shoot and selecting a range of stunning bridal dresses and accessories was Regina Lloyd. Pulling off a selection of amazing hair styles was Claire Campbell of Claire’s Hair Studio, Omagh. Flawless make up by Jacqueline Swift of Advanced Beauty in Enniskillen. For supplier details please see the end of blog.

So first off, here’s a few sneaks of behind the scenes. Oh and it looks like a beautiful day, unfortunately due to the lack of summer we couldn’t go outside for long as it was bitter cold and poor Jill turned a shade of blue!

The magazine is available in most news agents around the West of Northern Ireland including the offices of North West News Group, Ulster Herald, Strabane Chronicle, Fermanagh Herald and Donegal News. If you’re planning a wedding then it really is good value for lots of local inspiration.

p.s. it took everything for me not to shoot this wearing one of the stunning veils, although someone other than the model was wearing it!!
