I apologise in advance for those of you not connected in any way with Katya and Rod as this is one massive post!! But this one is special to me as I was able to do this for my bff.
Katya was my best friend from school, through the ages of 14 to 18 we were inseparable until I moved away to London. Over the years we kept in touch, maybe not as much as we should have but every now and then we’d make contact and catch up with our lives. I suppose some friendships never become strained and when we meet up it’s like we’ve never been apart. Last year I was delighted to hear she was getting married and very excited to be taking her wedding photos (I knew it would be special!)
The wedding and service took place at the stunning location of Brinkburn Priory in Northumberland situated in a secluded wooded ravine on the banks of the river Coquet. The civil service was held in the White Room followed by a blessing in the historic 12th century Brinkburn Priory. Katya’s dress was just gorgeous and she looked totally amazing, everything blended together just beautifully. Looking equally as gorgeous in dusky pink (my new fav colour) were her bridesmaids, Gemma (sister), Eden (daughter), Lynn and Claire (best friends). The day could not have been more perfect, the sun was shining, everyone enjoyed the relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
Congratulations to you both, hope you had a fantastic honeymoon. xoxo
ps thank you to my husband who was my assistant for the day!
